LEDAC-Execom approves 27 bills as 'priority measures'

MANILA -- The Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council Execom (LEDAC-Execom) approved 27 bills to be listed as priority measures under the Duterte administration, as of August 25, 2017.

Below are the measures listed as "priority" under the approved common legislative agenda (CLA) of LEDAC-Execom:

  • Unified National Identification System Act -- currently pending in a Senate committee and for consideration on second reading in the House of Representatives;
  • Security of Tenure Bill (End of Endo/Contractualization) -- currently pending in both Senate and House committees;
  • Utilization of the Coconut Levy Fund -- pending on second reading in Senate and for calendaring by a House committee
  • Comprehensive Tax Reform Program -- now pending in a Senate committee and approved on third and final reading in the House of Representatives;
  • National Transport Act to address transport traffic crisis -- also pending in both Senate and House committees;
  • Budget Reform Act -- currently tackled in both Senate and House committees:
  • National Land Use Act – pending before a Senate committee but already approved on third and final reading in the House of representatives;
  • Rightsizing of the National Government -- on second reading in Senate and approved on third and final reading in the House;
  • Amendment to the Anti-Cybercrime Act -- now being considered in both Senate and House committees;
  • Amendments to the Agricultural Tariffication Act of 1996 – currently pending in both Senate and House committees;
  • Amendments to the NIA Charter re: Free Irrigation Act -- approved on third and final reading both in the Senate and House;
  • Amendment to Public Act – pending before a Senate committee and for inclusion in the calendar of the House of Representatives;
  • Ease of Doing Business -- approved on third and final reading in the Senate and pending in a House committee (under a technical working group);
  • Government Procurement Reform Act Amendments -- pending in both Senate and House committees;
  • Federalism -- pending in a Senate committee and has been placed on business for the day on March 1, 20, 7 in the House of Representatives;
  • National Mental Health Care Delivery System -- approved on third and final reading in the Senate and approved by a House Committee;
  • Occupation Safety and Health Hazards Compliance -- pending in a Senate committee and approved on third and final reading in the House;
  • People’s Broadcasting Corporation Charter Bill -- is currently pending in both Senate and House committees;
  • Genuine Agrarian Reform Bill – now being tackled in both Senate and House committees;
  • Strengthening the Balik-Scientist Program -- pending on second reading in Senate and approved on third and final reading in the House;
  • Philippine Qualifications Framework -- is currently pending on second reading in the Senate and approved by a House committee;
  • Amendments to RA 7718, otherwise known as the Build-Operate-and-Transfer Law – now both in Senate and House committees;
  • Land Administration Reform Act -- pending in both Senate and House committees;
  • Delineation of the Specific Forest Limits -- now pending in both Senate and House committees;
  • Social Security Act Amendments -- is currently pending on second reading in the Senate and approved on third and final reading in the House;
  • Enhanced Universal Health Care Act -- now pending in both Senate and House committees; and
  • Allowable/Recoverable System Loss Act -- also pending in both Senate and House committees.

The Senate on Tuesday immediately adjourned its session after the roll call to attend the LEDAC meeting in Malacanang. (PNA)
