PDEA Academy needs 5,000 applicants

SILANG, Cavite -- Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Academy formally opens on Friday 5,000 slots for applicants to the Drug Enforcement Officer Basic Course (DEOBC) Qualifying Examinations.

To apply, interested individuals must be 21-35 years of age with a minimum of 5’2’ height for males and 5’ for females.

Applicants must also be a baccalaureate degree holder and a Civil Service (2nd level) eligible or a professional/board examination passer, as qualified by Civil Service Commission (CSC) under special laws.

Applicants may personally submit, send via courier or email the documentary requirements such as an original and fully filled up personal data sheet (CSC Form No 212, revised 2017) and letter of intent/application, addressed to PDEA Director-General Aaron N. Aquino.

Other requirements to be submitted include photocopies of National Statistics Office (NSO)-issued birth certificate, National Commission for Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)-issued height waiver, official transcript of records, college diploma, certificate of eligibility, and report of rating.

Those who wish to personally submit their requirements may go to PDEA Academy Liaison Office/Clinic located at PDEA National Office, NIA Northside Road, National Government Center, Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City.

If via courier service, applicants may send their documents to PDEA Academy, Camp Gen Mariano N. Castañeda, Tartaria, Silang, Cavite 4118 or to PDEA Regional Office IV-A at Camp Vicente Lim in Barangay Mayapa, Calamba City.

Applicants need to pass the qualifying exams and neuro psychological evaluation exam before undergoing the six months Drug Enforcement Officers Basic Course at the PDEA Academy in Silang, Cavite. (PNA)
