Globe launches online tutorial for entrepreneurs

MANILA -- Globe Telecom launched on Wednesday an online entrepreneurship website that aims to provide lessons on business management through the testimonials of various industry experts.

The website called Globe myBusiness Academy Online, was created to reach out to entrepreneurs across the country using the latest in digital technology, Globe executives said.

The online business academy will give new and existing business owners access to tips and get key business advice from seasoned business practitioners for free, they explained.

“Globe myBusiness’ vision is to enable all our entrepreneurs to thrive in their business. We have very distinguished partners. Entrepreneurs will be able to draw and bring insights,” Derrick Heng, Senior Adviser for Globe myBusiness, said in his speech during the launch in Makati City.

Globe myBusiness Academy will provide articles, live-streamed or pre-recorded workshops and webisodes from leaders in the food, tourism, education, finance, retail and manufacturing sectors, among others, that will provide guidance on aspiring entrepreneurs on how to succeed on their chosen endeavors.

The website is also envisioned to be a source of expertise and inspiration for startup owners and experienced businesspersons apart from offering solutions that ease the daily operations of various enterprises.

“We try to uplift these entrepreneurs by creating a community of learning through first-hand experience and valuable insights of industry experts and reputable partners,” according to Heng.

Globe myBusiness has conducted 53 entrepreneurship sessions in Metro Manila and other key cities nationwide last year. (PR)
