CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan-- A drug suspect, who was also involved in robbery and hold-up cases, was killed in a buy-bust operation in Northville 8, Barangay Santor, in this city early Friday morning.
In a report submitted to the new provincial director Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Malolos police chief Supt. Heryl Bruno identified the suspect as Dennis Pagar, a resident of Barangay Santor and was included in the Barangay Anti-Drugs Abuse Council (BADAC) drug watchlist of the village.
A drug sting was conducted against Pagar at around 1:30 a.m.
“After the drug deal was made, police operative tried to arrest him but the suspect resisted arrest by firing his gun at them and ran towards the back of his house. He was killed in the exchange of gunfire,” Bruno said.
Police investigators recovered from the suspect an improvised shotgun and 14 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of PHP10,000. (PNA)
