MANILA -- An investment immigration law firm is inviting investors from South East Asia, including Filipinos, to invest in a Hollywood hotel firm that comes with it the chance to have a green card and reside in the US in less than two years.
Bastien Trelcat, managing partner of law firm Harvey Law Group, said foreign investors "could expect to receive their US green card and settle anywhere in the US in less than two years to pursue business, financial, and personal opportunities".
In a statement sent to the Philippine News Agency (PNA), the hotel firm, Tommie Hotel Hollywood, is offering a USD-500,000 investment in its 212-room boutique hotel in Los Angeles that could eventually provide a green card to a foreign investor.
The foreign investors and their spouses could earn the green card through the US' EB-5 immigrant investor program, which requires the investment in a commercial enterprise or the creation/preservation of 10 permanent full-time jobs for US citizens.
The program will expire on September 30, 2018.
The boutique hotel project, which will be built by The Relevant Group, had started construction in the first quarter of 2018 and was pegged to create 1,127 jobs.
The hotel offers a scenic rooftop pool and lounge, restaurant, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor sauna, and ground-floor retail commercial space with an underground parking garage.
