IMUS CITY, Cavite – Senator Paolo Benigno ‘Bam’ Aquino IV will be the guest-of-honor and speaker in this year’s gathering of the city’s business owners and leaders, to be held at the Imus Sports Complex on July 30.

The business summit, a city government initiative implemented through the Imus Economic Investment Promotions Unit (IEIPU) headed by Marx Delmo provides a venue for the gathering of the city’s ‘who’s-who’ in business, said Jhett Vibar-Lungcay, Administrative Officer III of IEIPU.

Delmo is also concurrent assistant department head of the City of Imus Cooperative, Livelihood, Entrepreneurial and Devt Office or CICLEDO).

Lungcay said that the summit’s theme “The City of Imus and The Private Sector: Connected Efforts, Competitive City,” embodies one of IEIPU’s strategic approach to align private sector efforts with the local economic development thrust of the city government.

The salient points of Republic Act No. 10963, otherwise known as the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion of TRAIN Law, will be among the topics of the business summit.

Organized in 2016 under the Office of the City Mayor, IEIPU is tasked to undertake pro-active and re-active market and development and investment promotion activities, assist businesses with their concerns, and establish network with other investment organizations.

To comply with these, the IEIPU holds an annual conference to assist local businesses and the July 30 event is EIPU’s second business summit offering. (PNA)
