BALANGA CITY, Bataan -- A suspected drug pusher was killed by operatives of the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a buy-bust operation here Friday evening.

Supt. Byron Allatog, Balanga City Police chief, said the suspect, identified as Ranilo Almario of Barangay Cataning in this city, died as he tried to fight it out with government operatives after selling a sachet of “shabu” to a police poseur-buyer.

According to the police report, when the suspect sensed that his buyer was a police officer, “he drew his Caliber .45 and fired, but the operating team retaliated and killed him.”

Recovered from the suspect were the .45-caliber handgun with live ammunitions, 18 medium-size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of “shabu”, and marked money.

The suspect was on board a white motorcycle during the buy-bust operation at the back of the Bataan People’s Center at 9:20 p.m. Friday. (PNA)
