MANILA – Price movements in the international petroleum market have prompted local oil companies to increase pump prices anew, the third in as many weeks this month, effective 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The price adjustments due to movements in the international petroleum market are simply being passed on to the local consumers, the oil firms said.

In separate advisories, spokesmen of oil companies announced price hikes amounting to PHP0.20 per liter of diesel, PHP0.40 per liter of unleaded gasoline and PHP0.15 per liter of kerosene.

It can be recalled that last September 18, oil firms also implemented price adjustments amounting to PHP0.15/liter of diesel, PHP0.50/liter of gasoline and PHP0.20/liter of kerosene.

With this oil price hike, the price of diesel would have gone up by P2.20/liter while gasoline will be up by P2.50/liter in September alone. (PNA)
