Domestic flights canceled due to 'Rosita'

MANILA -- Local carriers have canceled several domestic flights scheduled for Monday and Tuesday due to Typhoon Rosita.

Based on Manila International Airport Authority's (MIAA) records, the following flights were canceled on Monday:

PAL Express (2P) 2198/2199 -- Manila-Laoag-Manila
Cebu Pacific (5J) 504/505, 506/507 -- Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila
Cebgo (DG) 6009/6010 -- Manila-Basco-Manila
Sky Jet (M8) 816/817 -- Manila-Basco-Manila

Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines on Monday afternoon announced the cancelation of the following flights scheduled on Tuesday:

5J 504/505, 506/507 -- Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila
5J 196/197 -- Manila-Cauayan-Manila
DG 6009/6010 -- Manila-Basco-Manila
PR 2196/2197 -- Manila-Laoag-Manila
PR 2688/2689 -- Clark-Basco -Clark
PR 2612/2613 -- Clark-Cauayan-Clark

Latest bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Rosita continues to threaten the southern Isabela and northern Aurora area.

The typhoon was last eyed at 355 kilometers east-northeast of Casiguran, Aurora. It has maximum sustained winds of up to 150 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 185 kph, heading west-southwest at 15 kph, PAGASA said. (PNA)
