ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Police arrested two people and seized more than PHP400,000 worth of illegal drugs and a firearm in an anti-drug operation in this city, an official announced Saturday.

Senior Insp. Shellamie Chang, Zamboanga City Police Office spokesperson, identified the arrested suspects as Rosaldo delos Reyes, 37, and Junrell Sargado, 33.

Chang said delos Reyes and Sargado were arrested in a buy-bust operation launched by the Drug Enforcement Unit of Police Station 7 in Barangay Tumaga, this city at about 4:50 p.m. Friday.

Confiscated from the suspects were suspected “shabu” (crystal meth), worth PHP402,600 and packed on one large and three small plastic sachets.
