P600K ‘shabu’ seized in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY -- Operatives have seized an estimated PHP600,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation early Saturday morning on Dos Hermanos St., Barangay 3 in San Carlos City.

The suspect, Joseph Fedrequilan, 39, a high-value target, however, fled when he sensed that he was transacting with an undercover policeman around 1:15 a.m.

Police report showed the operatives, led by San CarlosCity deputy police chief Senior Inspector Mark Junco, confiscated two big and one medium sachets of suspected “shabu” weighing about 50 grams, along with various drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile in Bacolod City, four persons were arrested in three separate buy-bust operations on Friday, which yielded PHP160,000 worth of suspected “shabu”.

In Barangay 19, operatives of Police Station 4 found Tommy Pineda, 39, in possession of about PHP60,000 worth of suspected “shabu” at Purok Mabinuligon around 5:20 a.m.

Two suspects, Gerald Gumban, 30; and Ritchie Manday, 38, both residents of Barangay Tangub, were apprehended on Yulo Avenue, Barangay Singcang-Airport around 4:45 a.m. by personnel of Police Station 8.

They yielded four small sachets and two big sachets of suspected “shabu” valued at PHP90,000.

Around 12:10 a.m., Josephine Alejandro, 41, was caught at Purok Maghili-ugyon, Barangay 35 by operatives of Police Station 1.

The suspect was found with eight small sachets of the prohibited substance valued at PHP10,000. (PNA)
