CEBU CITY -- A female call center agent was shot dead by an unidentified assailant while on her way home to Barangay Bacayan, this city, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Reports reaching the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) said 25-year-old Cristina Jayson of Joseville Subdivision in Bacayan died on the spot with a head shot.

Police investigators ruled out robbery as the motive behind the killing since all of the victim’s personal belongings, including cellphone, jewelry and cash were still inside her bag.

Authorities are now looking at other possible angles behind the murder of Jayson.

Meanwhile, the CCPO also received a report of another shooting incident in Barangay Sambag I early dawn Saturday.

The victim was identified as 38-year-old Ryan Alegado, a resident of Carcar City, Cebu, who was shot in front of a convenience store near the Cebu South Bus Terminal.

Alegado was reportedly with his cousin when he was shot by a lone gunman, who was earlier seen sitting a few meters from the store.

The victim was immediately rushed to the nearby Cebu City Medical Center with a gunshot wound in the face. (PNA)
