British national nabbed for violence vs. women, children

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- A British national was arrested in Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte for violation of Republic Act 9262, otherwise known as the “Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004.”

Chief Supt. Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-Region 9 (PRO-9) director, identified the suspect as Christopher Moore, 54, who hailed from Gwynedd County in Wales, United Kingdom.

Moore was arrested through a warrant of arrest around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at his temporary residence in Barangay Madalag, Jose Dalman town.

Licup said Moore has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of Section 5(i) of R.A. 9262, with a recommended bail of PHP80,000 issued on November 21, 2018 by the court of Dipolog City.

Moore is being detained at the police headquarters of Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte. (PNA)
