9th most wanted man nabbed in Zambo Norte town

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Policemen arrested one of the most wanted persons in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, a top police official said Wednesday.

Chief Supt. Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) director, identified the wanted person as Wilson Mendez, 36, a resident of Barangay Parangluma, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte.

Licup said Mendez was arrested through a warrant of arrest served in Barangay Lower Irasan, Roxas at about 8:25 a.m. Monday.

Mendez was arrested following an intelligence operation to locate him as he went into hiding upon learning that a warrant of arrest was issued against him, the police official said.

Mendez is listed as the ninth most wanted person in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. He is facing homicide with PHP12,000 recommended bail issued on Sept. 4, 2017 by the municipal circuit trial court of Sindangan. (PNA)
