CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- The local government of Valencia City in Bukidnon province has granted a six-year tax holiday to Robinsons Place Valencia mall, which opened to the public Wednesday (December 12).

Mayor Azucena P. Huervas said that the City Council approved the tax-holiday as early as 2015, adding that five business establishments have also applied for tax holiday but only Robinsons managed to obtain approval.

Sitting on an area of 80,000 square meters, the Robinsons branch in Valencia City is Bukidnon's first modern mall throughout the province. It is Robinsons' 51st mall in the Philippines and 7th in Mindanao.

"Robinson's Place Valencia is the only one exempt from real property tax and business tax for six years. Tax Holiday is one way of attracting investors to invest in the city," Huervas said.

The three-storey mall is located along Dologon-Busco-Quezon Road. (PNA)
