MANILA -- Stanley Pringle could be the biggest threat to take the Philippine Basketball Association's Most Valuable Player award from Junemar Fajardo.
The NorthPort guard remains number one in the statistical points race after a cumulative average of 35.5 points, way ahead of the San Miguel center's 33.1.
Despite playing for just eight games due to his stint with Gilas Pilipinas, Pringle still got 34 SPs (statistical points) in the Governors' Cup.
Fajardo, on the other hand, only played three games after recovering from an injury, only making 10.7 SPs.
However, him winning two of the three Best Player of the Conference awards could be a factor come the votes from the media, players, and the Office of the Commissioner.
Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar (32.3 SP's), NorthPort's Sean Anthony (31.3), and Phoenix's Matt Wright (30.0) round up the Top 5, putting them in a good position to make the Mythical First Team.
Beermen Marcio Lassiter (29.8), Arwind Santos (29.77), and Alex Cabagnot (29.74) lead the next five players in the ranking along with the Barangay's Scottie Thompson (29.6) and soon-to-be NLEX Road Warrior Poy Erram (28.5). (PNA)
