MANILA -- A 59-year-old Japanese fugitive, who is on the list of his country's most wanted criminals, is set to be deported Friday afternoon, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said.
BI spokesperson Dana Krizia Sandoval said Misao Kaminsukasu, alias Misao Koyama and Takeshi Koyama, was ordered expelled by the three-man BI Board of Commissioners, which issued an order for his summary deportation on Thursday.
Kaminsukasu will be deported via Nippon Airways flight NH870 to Tokyo, three weeks after agents of the BI fugitive search unit arrested him along Roxas Blvd. and Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City.
“The Board also ordered his inclusion in the immigration blacklist of undesirable aliens, thus he is banned from re-entering the Philippines,” Sandoval said in a statement.
BI Commissioner Jaime Morente and Deputy Commissioners J. Tobias Javier and Ronaldo Ledesma signed the deportation order.
Kaminsukasu, who is detained at the immigration detention facility in Bicutan, Taguig, was arrested last December 18 after the Japanese government sought the BI's assistance to locate and deport him so he could stand trial for his crime.
He had reportedly hidden in the country since October 13 last year on a 30-day visa privilege and was already overstaying when arrested.
A Japanese court issued an arrest warrant against Kaminsukasu for fraud after he reportedly scammed “billions of yen from victims in Japan by victimizing hundreds of Japanese nationals through his swindling activities.” (PNA)
