Most wanted person in Ipil, Zambo Sibugay falls

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Government operatives have arrested one of the most wanted persons in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, a top police official announced Tuesday.

Chief Supt. Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) director, identified the arrested suspect as Felix Salinas delos Santos Jr., 60, a resident of Tab-abaca, Basilisa, Dinagat Island.

Delos Santos has a standing warrant of arrest for rape, in relation to Republic Act No. 7610, otherwise known as the special protection of children against abuse, exploitation and discrimination act, with no bail recommended.

Licup said delos Santos was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest in Purok Alovera, Barangay Buluan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The warrant of arrest against the suspect was issued by a Surigao City court on Jan. 28, 2017.

He was placed under the custody of the Ipil municipal police for proper disposition. (PNA)
