MANILA -- Jordan Jarvis is taking his talents to Hong Kong.
The former Global Cebu defender signed with Eastern Sports Club for its upcoming Hong Kong Premier League campaign.
Jarvis, son of current Global Cebu owner Mark, turned pro right after he won Rookie of the Year honors and attained a spot in the Mythical Team in the 2017 UAAP men's football tournament, helping Ateneo capture the championship.
Jarvis first played for Davao Aguilas, joining the club during the mid-season window of 2017, before signing up with Cebu during the ensuing offseason.
His father stepped in and took the ownership of Cebu at a time when the club was having financial issues.
However, while the younger Jarvis' move to Eastern, the football counterpart of the ASEAN Basketball League club of the same name, seemed like more of a move to free up salary room, the older Jarvis assured that the players will be paid despite the monetary concerns, even baring that a new partner will step in ahead of its Philippine Premier League campaign.
