CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan --The soon-to-rise 400-hectare Bulacan Mega City that will straddle three municipalities -- Pandi, Bocaue, and Balagtas -- is expected to create 100,000 jobs for Bulakenyos, a former town official in the province said.

The construction of the project, which is scheduled to start next month, will pave the way for business locators such as international outlet stores, a shopping mall, techno hub, factory outlets, industrial factories, warehouse and call centers.

Former Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque said in an interview over the weekend that the plan for the Mega City project, including the Pandi Exit of the North Luzon Expressway, is almost 90 percent complete.

Roque was the appointed representative of Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado for the signing of the agreement setting in motion the initial and preliminary negotiations, during the last quarter of 2018

“On its expected groundbreaking come March this year, big companies will be there to support us, including Sta. Lucia Group of Companies, SM and St. Luke’s Hospital,” he said.

The multi-billion project is in cooperation with a group of Chinese investors from Hunan, Province of China who are willing to invest PHP50 billion in the province of Bulacan, thus resulting in a sisterhood agreement between the two provinces signed on October 16, 2018, at the Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City.
