MANILA -- The Department of Education (DepEd) will investigate and impose sanctions on students who posted photos of their Basic Education Exit Assessment (BEEA) answer sheets on their social media accounts.
In a statement on Tuesday, DepEd said it is the Bureau of Education Assessment that will conduct the probe, through the Schools Division Offices.
The DepEd's move came following several photos of test items and improperly shaded answer sheets were posted on social media by some BEEA takers on February 13 and 14.
“DepEd reiterates that under Section 13 or Breach of Security in National Examinations and Corresponding Sanctions of DepEd Order No. 55, series 2016 or Policy Guidelines on the National Assessment of Student Learning for the K to 12 Basic Education Program, the security and integrity of test materials shall be upheld in the whole process of the test administration," the statement read.
The DepEd said capturing of test items through electronic gadgets, and the distribution and posting of photos of the test booklet in any form of media are strictly prohibited.
The DepEd administered the basic education exit exam to determine the effectiveness of the K to 12 program. (PNA)
