LEGAZPI CITY -- A total of PHP850,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized while four alleged notorious drug pushers were collared on Tuesday afternoon by anti-narcotics agents in two separate police anti-drug stings in the cities of Legazpi and Naga.

Arrested in this city were Irene Villanueva, her sister Jernalyn and Maricel Rangasajo, all residents of Barangay Pigcale here.

Enrique Lucero, an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), said Villanueva, considered as the No. 8 high-value target in the PDEA watch list, and the two other suspects were reportedly tagged as members of the “Tres Marias” drug group operating in the provinces of Albay and Sorsogon.

The drug buy-bust operation on Tuesday afternoon at the suspects' residence yielded 100 grams of shabu worth PHP680,000.

Barangay Pigcale is a coastal village tagged as a drug “hot spot” in this city.

The suspects had been the subject of police casing following reports that they were getting their illegal drug supplies from their relatives who are currently jailed at the National Bilibid Prison (NBP) for illegal drug possession and peddling, Lucero said.

In Naga City, Jerwin Ajero alias “Buwaya,” 32, a resident of Barangay Concepcion Pequena, was nabbed by police anti-narcotics operatives at his residence around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the report said.

Seized from Ajero was PHP170,000 worth of shabu.

The suspect is included in the PDEA drug watch list, the report said. (PNA)
