LUNA, Apayao -- President Rodrigo R. Duterte is requesting Filipinos to rally behind the last three years of his administration, former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence Go said.

"Ipinararating po ni Pangulong Duterte ang kanyang hiling -- ang inyong patuloy na suporta sa kanyang natitirang tatlong taon (President Duterte asked me to bring to you his request. He is asking for your continued support to his last three remaining years in office)," Go told student athletes and officials in the region during the opening program of the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) on Wednesday.

Go was invited to the opening of the CARAA that was attended by about 7,000 delegates composed of student-athletes and coaches from the region’s six provinces and two cities.

He noted that while he is no longer the President's aide, he remains to be a confidant and is still helping the Chief Executive in informing the public of the administration's programs, projects and priorities.

"Patuloy po akong magiging tulay kay Pangulong Duterte (I will continue to be a bridge to President Duterte)," Go said.

He said the President remains firm in his anti-illegal drugs, anti-criminality, and anti-graft and corruption campaigns, which the administration will continue up to his last day in office.

"Wala po tayong ibang hangarin kundi ang kabutihan ng mga Pilipino. Lapitan niyo lang po kami kung ano man ang pwede namin maitulong (We don't have any other intention but to look after the welfare of Filipinos. Just ask for whatever the government can do for you)," Go said. (PNA)
