PCOO chief cited as ‘outstanding’ Mindanaonon in gov’t

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar was awarded one of outstanding Mindanaonons during the 1st Mindanao Governance and Leadership Excellence Awards held at Limketkai Luxe Hotel, here on March 7.

Aside from Andanar, former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go, former Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Bato Dela Rosa received awards under the National Level – Administrative Category.

PCOO Director Vinci Beltran received the award on behalf of Andanar who is part of President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s delegation attending the official visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Mohamad in Malacañang, Manila.

Under Andanar’s leadership, the PCOO’s attached media agencies particularly People’s Television Network (PTV), Radyo ng Bayan, Radio-Television Malacañang (RTVM) and Philippine News Agency (PNA) have improved significantly in just less than two years.

Prior to joining the Duterte administration, Andanar was a multi-awarded television news executive, news anchor, radio commentator, podcaster, audio blogger and voice-over artist at TV5.

The Mindanao Governance and Leadership Excellence Awards is aimed at giving due recognition to government leaders and private sector achievers who bring fame and honor to their communities.

The awarding ceremony was presented by Mindanao Daily newspaper. (PNA)
