COTABATO CITY -- Policemen collared two suspected illegal drug dealers in separate buy-bust operations in Kidapawan City on Sunday and seized some PHP135,000 worth of shabu.

At 8:30 a.m., police arrested suspect Eurick Quizon and seized from him some PHP130,000 worth of shabu following an operation in Barangay Balindong, Kidapawan City.

“The suspect was arrested following an exchange deal with a poseur-buyer,” Brig. Gen. Eliseo Rasco, Police Regional Office–12 director, said in a statement Monday.

Seized from Quizon were two medium-sized and 10 small-sized packets of shabu worth PHP130,000 and PHP500 marked money.

Also on Sunday, police anti-drug operatives pounced on suspect Danilo Alcano Espia, 24, of Suerte Subdivision, Barangay Poblacion, during a buy-bust operation at 1:30 pm carried out along Buenaventura Street of the same village.

Recovered from Espia were two small sachets of shabu worth PHP5,000; the marked money, and a mobile phone.

Rasco said both suspects were charged for violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
