CAMP GEN ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan – Two alleged drug pushers were killed while seven other suspects were arrested in buy-bust operations conducted by the Bulacan police on Sunday and early Monday morning.

Police Col. Chito Bersaluna, provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, identified the two fatalities as Eric Gonzales, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Plaridel, and Manny Paguia, of Barangay Santol, Balagtas, both in this province.

Investigation showed that after the consummated drug transactions, suspects Gonzales and Paguia attempted to engage the undercover operatives in a shootout by firing their guns, thereby prompting the operatives to retaliate, killing them in the process.

Bersaluna also said that the seven other drug suspects were arrested during separate buy-bust operations conducted in Meycauayan City and Bocaue town.

They were identified as Mary Rose Andaya, Rismar Magpayo, Heidy Rodriguez, Gerry Gonzales Jr., Juan Paulo Morales, Russel Gonzales and Allen Cipriano.

Seized from them were a total of 15 plastic sachets of shabu and buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination while criminal complaints for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002) are being prepared for filing in court against them.
