“I think most of the club members are all quite excited to start YFL season 2019. We have a lot more teams this year and a lot more kids involved, so I hope we can deliver the kind of competition level everyone is expecting, so I guess those are the things we want to make sure will happen,” YFL president Mike Atayde said.

Kaya Iloilo, known for having a solid grassroots football academy, is among the favorites to capture multiple championships this season.

The YFL season will kick off on March 31 at the Ayala Alabang Country Club U7, U9, U11, and U13 competitions.

The following week, the U15 and the U17 events will commence.

The league will also make a stop at the Manila Jockey Club in Carmona, Cavite. (PNA)
