CARDIOVASCULAR RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT.  Dr. Deborah Ignacia D. Ona, secretary of the Philippine Society of Hypertension (PSH) and Clinical Associate Professor at UP-PGH, is one of the speakers during the PhilPEN Summit Cardiovascular Risk Assessment and Management Initiative held at the Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City, Cavite on Friday (January 11, 2019). Dr. Ona discussed the topic, “Hypertension: What Do the Guidelines Say?”  Last year, the Department of Health (DOH) and PSH signed an agreement to provide intervention in the Calabarzon region as the DOH listed cardiovascular diseases, cancers chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes as among the leading causes of mortality in the country.  (PNA photo by Gil Calinga)
