Alaminos bags “Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance”

 ALAMINOS, Laguna Aug. 8 – Alaminos town in Laguna bagged the “Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance” award in the regional level from the National Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) during Tuesday afternoon’s presentation rite at the Cultural Center of Laguna here.

Alaminos was cited for its sustainable program for providing social services for the welfare of children.

he plaque of recognition was jointly signed by Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Judy Taguiwalo who chairs the CWC and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary in charge Catalino S. Cuy.

Cuy has relayed the message that adequate welfare services and care result in the physical and mental development of children.

Alaminos Mayor Loreto Masa and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Marissa Aguilar received the award from DSWD-Region IV-A Director Leticia Diokno and DILG-Region IV-A OIC Director Manuel Gotis.

Laguna Provincial Administrator Dulce H. Rebanal and DILG-Laguna Provincial Director Darrell I. Dizon also witnessed the awarding ceremony. (Ruben E. Taningco/PNA)
