KALIBO, Aklan, Aug. 9 -- The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Aklan Chapter has expressed its continued commitment as a dynamic partner of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
This developed after the PCCI-Aklan was awarded as Outstanding Regional Partner for Demonetization Program of the BSP. The awarding was held during the 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch held at Amigo Terrace Hotel Iloilo City Wednesday noon. This year's theme was "Transforming Shared Vision into Dynamic Partnership".
During the appreciation lunch, Juan De Zuniga Jr., a member of the monetary board of the BSP served as a keynote speaker. Fernando Silvoza, deputy director of the BSP Department of Economic Statistics, was also present.
The PCCI-Aklan was part of the 13 awardees from both Panay Island and the Negros Island Region which was given recognition by the BSP. Other awardees include the Department of Education regional office, ABS-CBN Iloilo; KJ Fairmart; Navstar Gasoline Station (Total); and Philippine Statistics Authority-Capiz.
The PCCI-Aklan is also grateful to the help of Luz Templonuevo who was then a project manager of the PCCI-Aklan.
Templonuevo currently works as a business consultant of the Department of Trade and Industry-Aklan. (PNA)
