MANILA -- Most parts of the country may experience rains on Tuesday as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affects the western section of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and possible occasional heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning will prevail over Mindanao, western Visayas and Palawan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy, isolated light to occasional heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds will blow from southeast to east over the eastern part of Luzon, and from southwest to south over the rest of the archipelago. The country's coastal waters will be slight to moderate, PAGASA said. (PNA)
