‘Negosyo Encounter’ goes to Boracay on Sept. 8

BORACAY ISLAND, Aklan --  Micro, small and medium enterprises and aspiring entrepreneurs in this resort island and the rest of Malay town are encouraged to join the first Negosyo Encounter here.

Set on Friday is the initial activity of the Negosyo Center in Boracay established in May this year.

Through the activity, MSMEs will get the chance to avail the services of the Negosyo Center managed by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Aklan.

The activity aims to provide MSMEs access to finance, market, business enabling, and ways to increase their productivity and efficiency.

Members of the Aklan Provincial Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PMSMEDC) and other partner Agencies of DTI will conduct a one-on-one business consultation activity among MSMEs.

Another highlight of the Negosyo Encounter would be the DTI's mobile business name registration.

Resource speakers from different government agencies and partner agencies of DTI such as the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Philippine Exporters

Confederation, Inc. (Philexport) Hugod Aklanon and Small Business Corp., among others, will also join the activity.

Since it was started in February this year, the DTI has already conducted Negosyo Encounter activities in the towns of Lezo, Libacao, Malinao, and Makato. (PNA)
