SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique -- Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao is urging the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) to fast track the passage of the ordinance regulating the fee for the zipline in Padlusan Adventure Park in San Remigio town.

Cadiao said the zipline is now safe and functional after it underwent technical assessment but the provincial government could not yet charge a fee because of the pending ordinance at the SP.

“There are many tourists now riding on the zipline,” she said.

The governor said that the zipline is now considered to be the longest existing in Western Visayas at more than 680 meters that gives an exhilarating and fun-filled experience.

Cadiao, however, said that while tourists can take advantage of the present free ride, there is also a need to generate income to purchase feeds for the hybrid cattle and horses being bred at the livestock center right at the site being managed by the Provincial Veterinary Office.

The Livestock Center is another attraction for tourists who love to see farm animals and experience horse-back riding. (PNA)
