Ginebra wallops TNT in semis opener

MANILA -- A week and a half after getting blown out in their PBA Governors' Cup meeting, Ginebra exacted revenge on TNT at a time it needed the most through a 121-94 rout in Game 1 of their semifinal series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Monday night.

The Barangay scored 95 points in the first three quarters before limiting the KaTropa to only 19 points in the final period to seal the blowout.

Justin Brownlee went 10-of-15 from the field for 21 points with eight rebounds, five assists, three assists, and one block for Ginebra, which took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Joe Devane added 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, four rebounds, and three assists.

Glen Rice Jr. tallied 26 points, 10 boards, four dimes, and three interceptions for TNT, but had seven of the team's 22 turnovers.
