LEGAZPI CITY -- Classes resumed in Albay on Friday after the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) lifted the class suspension order in the province due to the onslaught of tropical storm "Salome".

Advisory from the state weather bureau said the weather condition has improved, prompting the lifting of the suspension of classes by Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara.

Authorities, however, encouraged everyone to keep themselves up to date on the province’s weather condition.

Meanwhile, Office of Civil Defense (OCD)-Bicol Regional Director Claudio Yucot, in a text message, told the PNA they are consolidating all damage assessment reports on the effects of Salome in the region. (PNA)
