DAVAO CITY -- Undefeated WBO Asia Pacific Youth Light Flyweight champion Vince Paras will face the former national team stand-out Aldren Moreno of Digos City in a non-title bout on December 17 at the Robinson’s Place in General Santos City.

Paras, who is managed by Maasim Mayor Jojo Lopez is still unbeaten with 12 straight wins and 10 knockouts while Moreno of MP Digos Gym already has three straight victories with two knockouts.

“This is a good match-up. Lalaban kami kasi pumayag si Vince Paras na lumaban ng eight rounds lang (We are going to fight because Vince Paras agreed to fight for eight rounds),” said Moreno’s father-trainer Renato.

The 19-year-old Paras won the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth light flyweight title by a unanimous decision against Jimboy Haya last June 10 in Mandaue City. He previously scored a first round knockout win against Marlou Sandoval last August 30 at the Bulua covered court in Cagayan de Oro City.

The 22-year-old Moreno, on the other hand, stopped former Philippine Boxing Federation minimumweight champion Ronie Tanallon in the 4th round last September 1 in Digos City.

The boxing card will be held in celebration of the birthday of eight-division world champion Sen. Manny Pacquiao. (Lito delos Reyes/PNA)
