LINGAYEN, Pangasinan -- Chief Supt. Romulo E. Sapitula, newly designated police regional director of the Ilocos region, has called on all police personnel in Pangasinan to enhance their service to the people.

Sapitula spoke before rank and file members of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office when he came to the province on Saturday, his first ever command visit since assuming the post of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) director.

He was welcomed by Senior Supt. Ronald O. Lee, Pangasinan Police Provincial director and his staff.

Chief Supt. Sapitula used to be the director of the Eastern Police District before replacing Chief Supt. Charlo Collado.

"We should work harder so that we can enhance our service to the people,” he said, adding that he intends to start some projects in Pangasinan soon.

“I would like to ask for your help. Since we are all policemen, we should help each other. The uniformed and non-uniformed personnel must be one in helping the people,” he said.

In his first command conference with police officials in Pangasinan, Sapitula initially called for stronger anti-crime measures, noting there were 185 murder cases recorded by the police this year. (PNA)
