DepEd Cavite gets new school chief

IMUS CITY, Cavite -- The Department of Education (DepEd)-Cavite officials and staff welcomed on Monday its new officer-in-charge (OIC) Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, who heads the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD).

Inductivo, a registered nurse and holder of master’s degree in philosophy with diverse background on research, education and quality management, replaced Diana P. Topacio, who was promoted as the OIC Assistant School Division Superintendent (ASDS).

He served as DepEd Cavite’s Senior Education Program Specialist (SEPS) for its Planning and Research prior to his new assignment.

As former SEPS, Inductivo was responsible in facilitating the development of the Division Research Agenda and the Division Education Development Plan (DEDP), conduct of research capacity building, technical assistance and studies to provide critical inputs as bases for management’s strategic and operational decisions.

His former post also provided him experience in technical support and crafting recommendations for policy formulation on matters relevant to education planning system, planning standards and criteria, and planning processes based on action research.

Inductivo assumed his present designation through DepEd Cavite Memorandum No 374 dated Dec. 15, 2017 signed by DepEd’s OIC for Schools Division Superintendent Cherrylou D. De Mesa. (PNA)
