MANILA -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine-Chinese Charitable Association, Inc. (PCCAI) on Tuesday signed anew a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the extension of comprehensive medical assistance to PDEA agents.

PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino, and PCCAI chairman Dr. Benito Goyokpin and Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) president and CEO Dr. James G. Dy inked the agreement in a ceremony held at the CGHMC in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Aquino said the MOA sealed the partnership between PDEA and PCCAI, and renewed the MOA covering the medical aid and treatment of PDEA personnel nationwide who sustained injuries in line of duty or actual performance of duties, including surgery and major operations as well as the use of its medical equipment and facilities from admission to release.

The PDEA chief extended the agency’s deep appreciation to the medical support provided by PCCAI to boost the morale of PDEA agents who, during actual anti-drug operations commit their lives to serve the country and people. (PNA)
