GlobalPort blasts Blackwater for biggest win since 2015

PASAY CITY — GlobalPort scored its most lopsided win in three years, mauling Blackwater, 101-76, in their PBA Philippine Cup clash at the Cuneta Astrodome on Friday night.



The Batang Pier quickly found their range in the first quarter, dropping 6-of-7 triples that helped them take a 28-23 lead after the period.



They then outscored the Elite, 33-14, in the second quarter to stretch their lead to 24, 61-37, by halftime.



The lead ballooned to as high as 30, and the Batang Pier never looked back en route to their biggest win since the 108-80 drubbing of NLEX on June 12, 2015.



Sean Anthony led GlobalPort's early charge, scoring 21 of his 22 points in the first half, going 6-for-7 from deep during that stretch.

He also had seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.



Stanley Pringle finished with a double-double of 17 points and 11 boards with five assists and a steal for GlobalPort, which scored its second straight win behind 13 three-pointers, 11 in the first half.



Mac Belo led Blackwater, which suffered its second straight loss, with 17 points, but he only made 7-of-22 from the field.
