MANILA—The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the low pressure area (LPA) formerly Tropical Depression "Basyang" (Sanba), was recently estimated at 240 kilometers south southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Pagasa said the tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the northeast monsoon is affecting extreme Northern Luzon.

Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the LPA which may bring possible flooding due to moderate rains.

Bicol Region and the provinces of Samar and Quezon will also experience scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to the cold front.

Batanes and Calayan Group of Islands will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
