MANILA -- The Philippine Football League (PFL) softened its stand on allowing fans to enter the Biñan Football Stadium in Biñan City, Laguna as the league resumes action after a month-long FIFA international break.

In a statement released Tuesday, the Liga Futbol, Inc. (LFI), the PFL's governing body, gave Stallion Laguna, which calls the pitch home, the green light to bring in fans.

However, LFI limited the stadium's capacity to 500 people -- 250 for Laguna fans and 250 for the visiting side.

Also, the LFI only allowed the fans to occupy the red bleacher section of the venue.

The LFI will only open the rest of the grandstand once Laguna submits the rest of the documents for the venue, which would show the infrastructure passed the criteria set by the Philippine Football Federation.

The showdown between Laguna and Cebu will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Although the match will be held at the Biñan Football Stadium, it will be credited as Cebu's home game as its own turf, the Cebu City Sports Center, is unavailable.

In the nightcap at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod, defending champion Negros battles Iloilo in an early semifinal rematch at 7 p.m. Wednesday. (PNA)
