General Trias awards top city taxpayers

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite -- City Mayor Antonio A. Ferrer led city government officials in awarding the city’s 2017 top 20 corporate taxpayers for real property and business taxes respectively as incentives for private businesses and investors here.

Topping the roster of top taxpayers are the pre-fab housing maker House Technologies, Inc. and global business brand Unilever Philippines, Inc. during Monday’s first investor's month celebration at the city’s Bayleaf Hotel.

GenTri OIC for Investment and Promotion Romel Olimpo on Wednesday said the award rites were in line with City Ordinance Number 17-16 institutionalizing the city’s effort in strengthening business relations with the private sector.

“This is an effort to nurture the city’s partnership with its co-players in the private and business sectors to maintain the city’s business-friendly environment and ensure sustainability of the city’s competitiveness,” Olimpo said.

He also said that the competitive business atmosphere would also benefit not only GenTriseǹos but also its neighboring cities and towns.

Aside from HTI, the other top 20 business taxpayers include Analog Devices General Trias, Inc.; Property Company of Friends, Inc.; American Power Conversion Corp.; The Purefoods Hormel Corp.; Unilever Phils, Inc.; Maxim Phils Operating Corp; Jae Phils, Inc.; Antel Holdings (Gen. Trias), Inc.;

Enomoto Phil Mfg Corp; HRD Singapore PTE LTD; Lyceum of the Phils University, Inc; Analog Devices Phils, Inc; Magnolia, Inc; Phils Advanced Processing Tech, Inc; Duraville Realty & Dev’t Corp; Summerhills Home Dev’t Corp; and Waltermart Supermarket, Inc.

Those cited with Unilever under the real estate tax category are Property Company of Friends, Inc; The Purefoods Hormel Corp; Can Asia, Inc; Banco De Oro-EPCI Inc; Monterey Farms Corp; Sta Lucia Realty & Devt Corp; 8990 Luzon Housing Dev’t Corp; SMC Yamamura Fuso Mold, Corp;
