Chief Supt. Edwin De Ocampo, deputy regional director for administration, identified the two policemen as SPO1 Oscias Gomez and PO1 Rey Lismis, all of Godod Municipal Police Station.

De Ocampo said they were disarmed around 9 a.m. Wednesday in Sitio Rebe, Barangay Mauswagon, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte.

Nancy Piañar and her companion, Bayani Galleposo, reported to the Godod police station around 10:30 a.m. that they saw the Mahindra vehicle with bullet holes on its windshield.

Domingo Tuyac, a militiaman, also appeared at the police station around 11:35 a.m. and turned over improvised tire fin and rounded steel bar recovered a few meters from where the two policemen were disarmed. (PNA)
