P8.5-M shabu seized in QC, Pasay drug raids

MANILA -- Police authorities seized more than 2 kg. of “shabu” in separate operations in Quezon City and Pasay early Tuesday.

Bryan Dudley, alias Bayan Taba, was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted along University St., corner Commonwealth Ave., in Barangay San Vicente in Quezon City.

Dudley yielded six plastic packs of “shabu” with an estimated value of PHP7.48 million and four bundles of marked money worth PHP400,000.

He was arrested on drug charges on April 8, 2016 by Pasay City police but was acquitted by the court and released last July 2.

Police said the suspect then returned to drug trafficking activities, operating in the areas of Pasay, Manila and nearby cities.

In Pasay, 13 suspects were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation.

Pasay City Police Chief Senior Supt. Noel Flores said the operation was conducted at 159 Estrella St., Barangay 14.

Arrested during the operation was Jackielyn L. Reyes, 46, who had been the target of the buy-bust operation.

Also arrested were Van T. de Leon, 49; Joselito M. Elvina, 58; Miguel Acedello, alias Jun, 56; Darwend Castalone, 42; Maricris Alipio ,27; Michael Mendoza, 51; Delfin Madeja, 29; Sonia Cordal, 41; Rosemary Arevalo, 46; Marilou Malay, 46; and Rowena Rodelia, 50.

Confiscated from the suspects were 52 plastic sachets containing “shabu” with an estimated street value of PHP1 million, PHP1,000 in marked money, and a 9-mm Armscor pistol. (PNA)
