MANILA -- Even if they have not yet played a game at home, the Zamboanga Valientes, according to their team manager, have made their fans in the peninsula glued to their TV screens to watch their games live, especially because they have won their past three matches.

In fact, the manager claimed that an entire barangay have made it a habit.

"Isa sa pinakamalaking barangay sa Zamboanga City, nagtipon-tipon para sa laro ng (People in one of the biggest barangays in Zamboanga City, gathered to watch the game of the) Family's Brand Sardines-Zamboanga Valientes ," said Alvin Munio. "Ang Family's Brand Sardines-Zamboanga Valientes ay inaabangan ng mga Zamboangueños (The game was eagerly awaited by the Zamboangueños)."

Another win on Tuesday night will make the Zamboanga fans even happier, and the club is a cinch to actually claim it as it goes up against Rizal as the MPBL Datu Cup resumes play at the Pasig Sports Center in Pasig.

The 4-2 Valientes, just behind the idle but still unbeaten Muntinlupa Cagers, who were in the headlines for the wrong reason following their tune-up brawl with the UP Fighting Maroons on Saturday night, for first place in the Southern Division standings will take on the struggling Crusaders, currently tied with the Cebu City Sharks at the bottom of the division at 1-5 in the first game of the twinbill at 7 p.m.

In the nightcap at 9 p.m., Pasig looks to finally nail its first win in the league as it takes on fellow Northern Division side Navotas.
