LEGAZPI CITY -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a suspected high-value target drug pusher operating in this city and seized PHP340,000 worth of suspected "shabu" (crystal meth) during a drug raid here Wednesday night.

PDEA-Bicol spokesperson Cotton Talento said in a phone interview Thursday that PDEA agents arrested Allen Aguilar, alias Choy, 38, of Purok 4, Barangay Oro Site, at his residence at about 7:40 p.m.

The operatives, armed with a search warrant, swooped down on the suspect's house and recovered from his possession 50 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of PHP340,000.

Talento also said the raiding team discovered that the suspect’s house is being used as an illegal drug den.

She noted that the raid was prompted by complaints they received from villagers that the suspect’s house has been regularly visited by people from other places to buy drugs or hold a drug session.

Talento said the suspect was a drug surrenderer and has been undergoing community-based rehabilitation. (PNA)
