ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Government operatives have arrested big-time drug pusher and seized some PHP500,000 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, a top police official said Tuesday.
Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) director, identified the arrested suspect as Fredrick Reyes, 43, a resident of Barangay Patunan, Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Licup said Reyes was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 4 p.m. Monday in an abandoned house on Magsaysay Street, Barangay Miputak, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Reyes was caught in possession of some half a million pesos of suspected shabu, PHP500 marked money, PHP2,500 proceeds money consisting of five PHP500 bills, a cellular phone, and a pack of cigarette, police said.
Police said the buy-bust operation came after days of surveillance on the alleged illegal drug activity of Reyes. (PNA)
