MANILA -- Both Magnolia Hotshots and San Miguel Beer will be holding practices on Monday, election day, ahead of Game 7 of the Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup Finals.

This after the Beermen forced the rubber match with a 98-86 win over the Hotshots in Game 6 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

"We have practice. After that, saka kami boboto (we will cast our votes)," Magnolia coach Chito Victolero said.

"Pagkaboto namin, derecho kami sa practice (After we cast our votes, we would go to practice)," SMB coach Leo Austria bared the team's own schedule.

Because of the missed chance to clinch the title, Victolero said that the Monday practice is now a necessity.

"Kailangan eh (We need it)," he said.

For Austria, the Monday practice could be their best time to grind it out following a long period of just watching the tapes.

"During the past few days in the series, there's no time to add practice. I mean we don't have any physical activities. We keep on studying the film and start shooting and that's it because we cannot make drastic adjustments because from Game 1 up to Game 6, it's a matter of who's wanting to win," Austria said.

Game 7 is set on Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. (PNA)
