MANILA -- Kaya Iloilo opened the Philippines Football League season with a statement 4-0 rout of Green Archers United at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.
Jordan Mintah scored a hat trick, while Jayson Panhay made instant impact off the bench with dagger goal as Kaya Iloilo went for the juggernaut right in their first match back in the domestic league.
Mintah drew first blood for Iloilo in the second minute while adding another in the 18th minute.
He then converted a penalty in the 44th minute to complete the hat trick as his club took a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.
Panhay, who came in for Nano Amita, put the finishing touches just seconds into his stint as he went all the way for the 58th minute finish. (PNA)
